NIWIIT Membership Requirements

Membership with the Nigeria Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT) is open to all women who are involved directly or indirectly in the use of computers and information technology. We offer four categories of membership to suit different levels of involvement in the ICT sector.

Membership Categories

Professional Member

This category is for women actively engaged in ICT and related fields. To qualify, applicants must be registered members of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).
Eligibility: Actively working in ICT
Requirements: Proof of registration with NCS. Register Now

Affiliate Member

Women who are involved in the IT industry but are not yet registered members of NCS can apply for this membership category. This is a non-professional membership.
Eligibility: Involved in IT but not a member of NCS
Requirements: Proof of involvement in the IT industry. Register Now

Student Member

This category is for young women studying ICT or related courses at accredited institutions. All student applicants are required to submit a letter of attestation from their educational institution.
Eligibility: Students pursuing ICT or related courses
Requirements: Attestation letter from the educational institution. Register Now

Corporate Member

Corporate membership is open to organizations or institutions whose goals align with those of NIWIIT and meet the following criteria:
- Any organization or institution with activities that are digitally inclined.
- The organization must have at least one NIWIIT member as a full-time employee.
Eligibility: Organizations with digital-related activities and at least one NIWIIT member on staff
Requirements: Proof of organizational alignment and NIWIIT member status of at least one employee.

Change of Marital Status/Name

If there are any variations in your name due to marriage or a change of name (e.g., documents differ from those on your certificates), please ensure that evidence of the name change is attached with your application. Register Now

Upgrading Membership

Upgrading Membership If you would like to upgrade your membership status (for example, from Affiliate to Professional Member), please send a request email to membership@niwiitng.org and vicepresident@niwiitng.org.
