NIWIIT 11th National Conference & 12th Annual General Meeting Call for Papers

The Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT) invites researchers, academics, industry professionals, policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and development partners to submit original research papers, case studies, policy briefs, and practical insights for presentation at the 11th National Conference & 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The 2026 conference aims to explore how next-generation women leaders are shaping Africa's digital economy through inclusive leadership, technological innovation, and strategic policy engagement. The event will provide a multidisciplinary platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and actionable solutions that advance women's participation and leadership in the digital age.

Submission Guidelines

1. Abstract Submission
  • Abstract Length: 250 words.
  • Content: Provide an overview of the paper, including key objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes. Indicate which conference theme your paper aligns with. Download the NIWIIT Conference Paper Structure for guidelines.
  • Keywords: Please include 4-6 keywords related to your paper.
  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 23, 2026.
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: March 30, 2026.
  • All submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.

2. Full Paper Submission
  • Paper Length: Between 4,000-6,000 words (including references).
  • Formatting: Papers should be formatted according to the guidelines in MS Word or PDF, using APA 7 referencing style.
  • Deadline for Full Paper Submission: April 20, 2026.
  • Submission Method: Papers should be submitted via conferencepapersubmission@niwiitng.org.
3. Review Process
  • All submissions will be peer-reviewed by an expert committee of professionals in the field.
  • Authors of accepted papers will be notified by April 27, 2026.
  • Deadline for final submission of reviewed accepted papers: May 11, 2026.

Payment Details

Authors of accepted papers to be included in the book of proceedings are to pay N10,000 (payable to NIWIIT's account). For co-authored papers, the presentation certificate will be issued to one author. Additional certificates cost N5,000.
